Natalie Johnson

Certified Baby and Toddler Sleep Consultant

Hello! I’m Natalie! My husband and I currently reside in Castle Rock, Colorado with our 2 dogs and our daughter Skylar and son Levi. I graduated from the University of Kansas in 2004 with my Doctor of Pharmacy degree, and worked at Children’s Hospital Colorado for 10 years before moving into a role with the University of Colorado Health.

I received my pediatric sleep consultant certification through The Center for Pediatric Sleep Management and I am trained in a variety of sleep training methods.

My goal is to give back to families the precious gift of sleep through custom, family-led support done virtually.

My Family

When my daughter was born in 2018, we had no idea what to expect when we brought her home from the hospital. We took turns holding her those first few weeks because it was the only way she would sleep. Eventually she let us put her down, but not without being fed and rocked to sleep.

I learned a lot about myself as a first-time mom, specifically how miserable I am when I am sleep deprived. For my husband and I, sleep needed to be a priority – for our mental health, and for the ability to give our best selves to each other, our daughter, and our family and friends.

I love that I can give my children the gift of sleep through teaching them how to sleep independently

After a failed attempt to transition our daughter from her crib to a bed, she co-slept with us for around 6 months. None of us were getting good sleep! We were determined to get her sleeping in her own bed before our son was due. I completed my sleep training certification, and my daughter was my first client! I applied what I had learned, and we saw success within 3 nights of sleep training her and finally enjoyed full nights of sleep. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to do some formal sleep training with my son once he’s old enough, and I love that I can give my children the gift of sleep through teaching them how to fall asleep independently.
